The 5 Most Exciting MLB Players Featured on Satellite TV

Is baseball a boring game? The question continues to be asked by fans and analysts alike. When pitchers aren’t throwing strikes – and taking a lot of time to do it – there is no question baseball can be boring. However, these five baseball players make every game thrilling. Check them out on satellite TV.

1. Torii Hunter. Putting Hunter’s sparkling wit aside, he may still be the most exciting player in baseball. His at-bats are always events, from his slicing swing to the way he whips the bat to the ground before exploding down the first-base line. However, the real Torii Hunter show takes place in the outfield grass. Even home run balls will come back when Hunter is on patrol – it’s best to hit it in the upper deck if you want to make sure. Watch him play out West on the Angels HD network.

2. Shin-Soo Choo. Besides having one of the coolest names in baseball at the moment (include Jair Jurrjens and Coco Crisp on the list), Choo has all of the ability a player could ask for. For pure excitement’s sake he might swing at pitches earlier in the count; yet his patience often leads to booming doubles and big flies. Choo’s prowess doesn’t stop at the plate: seeing him gun down a runner from the outfield wall carries the same thrill as watching him power one out of the park.

3. Tim Lincecum. The Freak is one of MLB’s biggest treats. Gangly and awkward, with long hair and pale skin, there is nothing that will prepare you for the type of stuff he has when he throws the baseball. Two Cy Young Awards later, hitters are not thrilled when they see Lincecum’s name on the schedule. The biggest sensation in a Giants uniform since Barry Bonds, Lincecum has brought the juice back to PacBell Park and to any home in the country where a satellite TV fan is tuning in.

4. Mark Teixeira. For a Yankees fan, it’s almost impossible to get excited about a new star player, as they’re always popping up in the Bronx. The fact that Mark Teixeira has sparked passion from Yankees fans speaks to the type of player he is. From Gold Glove heroics at first base to clutch home runs, many have called it the best Yankees signing since Reggie Jackson. Pitchers are also advised not to plunk him: Tex responded early in 2010 by putting a catcher in the hospital after circling the bases. Follow him on YES.

5. Jose Reyes. The kid with the golden smile is back in the mix at Citi Field. Mets fans were in pure misery ever since Reyes went on the shelf and all of baseball has suffered with them. Reyes is the kind of player who’s an automatic highlight. Once he gets on the base paths, you just watch and see how he will score. He’s a player who can make a sports fan out of anyone who happens to flip on FSNY HD for a glance at the game.
